Bird Flu

This week is the Dragon Boat Festival. So classes were held over the weekend to make up for the lost days during the week. Monday's classes were held on Saturday, and Tuesday's classes were held on Sunday. So really the only day we get off is Wednesday. After all the classes were over yesterday (Sunday), all of the volunteers and interns decided to go into town and celebrate with some Huishui barbecue. Before we left, we played with the birds for a couple minutes. The campus has a these white pigeons and there is a little box of food for us to throw to them.
I was trying to lure them in and grab one. That didn't work.
The feed that is put out is just a mix of corn and some other scraps.
I really wanted to get a shot of the birds flying away, so I asked people to rush in and scare the birds while I took the picture.

  1. I hope these birds are more friendly than the lake Trez geese. The babies have got so big and look like giant fluff balls.
