Down Time

Today was hotel day. This means I have to get to work at 7am and I get off of work at 7pm. Because there is a party scheduled from tomorrow, the kitchen was under a lot of pressure preparing lunch and dinner for today along with preparing some things for tomorrow. Today I had to make lots of bread from scratch. So 3 other students and I all hand kneaded 4 loaves of bread in all. Then I also had to make ratatouille and roti. For those who do not know, roti is like an Indian flat bread. There were many many more things that had to be prepared. I am not required to work amongst the students, but I felt bad for standing around and doing nothing while the kitchen was under pressure, and I do like to cook myself, so it was a good time to have some fun. I did cut myself 3 times today. Once while sharpening a knife on a wet stone, since I hate dull knives, and 2 other times while using that sharpened knife; I take after my father. The following pictures were taken while I was on break.
This little dragon fly was sitting on the window. It allowed me to get pretty close and take a picture as you can see. Beautiful creatures these things.
These ladies are Kayley (odd spelling but this is how she said it was spelled), Heather, and another girl. Since I work only on memory with names I cannot remember the girl's name on the right. They were in charge of making pastries for tomorrow's party.
Head chef Tom, Heather, and I were relaxing during down time.
